What if I don’t know what kind of wedding I want?

That’s ok! I can show you lots of options and we’ll find what you like as we go.

What if I know exactly what I want?

Great! I’ll keep everything in order for you and save you time researching and managing details.

What if something goes wrong?

Sometimes little ring bearers need comforting or vendors need a firm hand. I’ve had problems come up at weddings before (rarely)... Often the couple doesn’t know until afterward! Bumps don’t phase me, and with resourcefulness they’ll pass unnoticed.

What if I don’t live in Cleveland?

We can coordinate via video calls as needed if you don’t live in town. It will be important to have a Cleveland wedding planner and designer if you’re not familiar with the area. Event consulting goes smoothly with plenty of local recommendations, and a Cleveland event planner will save you the time researching the best local options.


Why do I need a wedding planner when my venue has a venue coordinator?

A venue coordinator works for the venue, NOT YOU. They get paid by the venue. NOT YOU. A wedding planner is paid by you. Therefore, they work for you!

A wedding planner's job is to make sure all the details come together and be your eyes on the wedding day. I love venue coordinators! They help me do my job and they play an essential role in your vendor team. They can handle certain things on your wedding day, within a specific scope. Let me explain further.

A venue coordinator that works for the venue is looking out for the venue's interests. A wedding planner or coordinator is looking out for YOUR best interests. The venue coordinator deals with everything having to do with the venue: set up, menus, banquet event order, etc.

A wedding planner will deal with ALL aspects of your setup and ensure everything is to your specifications. We are your eyes and ears that day and we lead the team. We handle anything and everything that pops up. I’ve had to remove stains from a bride's gown while also finding a seamstress to fix a bridesmaid’s dress before the wedding. I’ve seen it all!

What does an average couple working with you spend on their wedding?

It really depends on the size of the wedding. I’ve done a very small micro wedding with less than 10 guests all the way up to a wedding with 750 guests. Both of those events had very different budgets, so what you’ll spend depends on what you want for your special day.

Do you bring an assistant day-of?

It depends on the scope of the wedding and what needs to be done.

Do you plan other events such as rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, etc?

Yes! I love to help with all events.

Do you offer wedding day ("day-of") coordination?

This word is used loosely in the industry. There is no such thing as “day of” coordination. I can't show up the day of your wedding and be successful. It’s best to loop in your planner ASAP. Various packages have additional support along the way but mostly, my day of the package starts at three months out. However, some couples hire me a year out. I provide a little guidance or a lot of guidance depending on your needs.

Any final words of wisdom?

Talk to various planners and see who you have a good connection with and who understands your needs. Planning experience, I believe, is key. I have seen it all in my 25 years of event planning, from bridesmaid dresses not fitting to sewing a bustle, and everything in between. I’m confident I’ll be able to handle all situations and make your day perfect!
